Changi air

"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it."
~Psalm 24:1~

6th day of Lunar New Year!
Saturday mornings...
My 'holiday' is almost over...
Trying not to fret about it...

29th Jan - Went for lunch in Bukit Gombak.
It was a very funny journey to that place.
Bounced from one MRT station to another before landing up there.
Bai Nian at Celia's house.
Her hubby can cook xia~
And she has a very beautiful home.
Rushed down to Centre Point for the WWS CNY Dinner at Teochew City.
Shiok food.. very neat lo hay.
Food pictures~

30th Jan - Lunched with Auntie Helen and TKM in TPY @ Fortunate.
Wooo.... my stomach has become smaller... hahah
Headed home and sat down before heading out again to have dinner with Jared and friends.
Spencer, Hide, Krystal, Jared and Qian Ta.
Laughter a plenty.
Madness a much.
Beef to the max.
Have to detox... @.@lll

31st Jan - Visitations later... but for now, I need the sea air... doubt that I will be able to go back to Changi in the near future, so might as well go back now.

Laters~

Lunar New Year with Ox Tail and Candle Roundup

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
~Romans 6:23~

Blessed 4th day of the new lunar year to you!
It's a Thursday morning and I am at home~
-does the dance of joy-

15 Jan - Dinner with Coey and Jess after work @ Lai Lai Niu Rou Mian shop in Jurong Point.
The beef noodles are shiok... just need to find out whether they have another outlet in a not-so-freaking-far place so that I can bring other people there to chow on the potatoe noodles...
*hyuk-hyuk*

16 Jan - Dinner with Diana and Yang Mui @ Punggol Park.
Believe it, there is a diner in tucked away at the corner of the park. The steak is good, and so are the SkINful chicken pieces... Wine list is a few pages long. As is the beer list. Too bad we didn't have the chance to walk back to Buangkok.
-hysterical laughter-

17 Jan - Went shopping with YKM and TKM @ Raffles City. Started yawning at some point... think it was when they were looking through the racks and racks of clothes... hahaha
Took them for lunch at Shokudo (not sure if i spelt it right...)
Headed off to Outram to donate blood.
I shall try the 1 hour thingy the next time round... plasma donation anyone?
Just sit there and let the machine drain the platelets... Oooo~
After which, headed off to the Marina Barrage to do some sight seeing... got in more sights this time in comparison to during the WWS AGM. Less people to maneuver around and there was not as much wind this time round... weird... but I do hope to go back there again... this time with a proper camera.
-evil laughter-
Off to Ichiban Boshi to redeem my stamps... and then headed home after walking around the shopping centre... haha...

18 Jan - BIG DAY
Went to church... thought I had missed the bus... Thank God it was a bit late.. haha
First cake of the day was shared with Hong Zhen and David.
Went all camera crazy with various people.
Service.
More camera crazies.
Headed off to Bugis for lunch with Mandy and May.
Soong food. Lamb Shank never tasted so good~
Thanks to Mandy for her treat =]
Got me 2 spanking-ly awesome X-Men books, walked around Bugis... then headed home for dinner with the family - BUT not before making a stop at Hougang Mall to say 'Hi' to Poh Mui.
Really good to see her again.
Met up with Guo Feng as well.
Thanks to all my friends for the beautiful presents =]
Dinner with the family was interesting... haha...

19 Jan - Dinner with Xiao Ping, Kris, Wee and Sharine @ Jurong Point.
Nice to hang out with them again... totally burnt my fuel for the week but it was more than worth the while...

20 Jan - Early CNY Cell grp gathering.

21 Jan - Skipped TKD in favor of recharging my batteries...

22 Jan - Mandy's final day with the company... (damn the bad economic situation). Kanna OT coz of lag time in work...Thank God for Liang Ge~

23 Jan - No staying back for me, Whampoa class on Alvin's behalf.
Reunion dinners this year have been all over the place because of the weird CNY dates...

24 Jan - WWS Bike Patrol with Shoon and TK.
Had lunch at WWS then went back to the office to send out an email.
Yes, all the way back to Boon Lay just to get an email sent out.
Don't question me on the reasonings... I did it for peace of mind.
That was the most pressing thing which I had to make sure I had before the start of the Lunar New Year... cannot owe past new year right?
Speaking of which... someone owes me 2!
-psychotic laughter-
Met up with Mandy to walk round Jurong Point before heading to town.
Ran into Gary...
Alvin and Huifen @ Cineleisure.
Made for Bugis after that to doing shopping for CNY.
Dinner at Soup Spoon.
I love the beef soup.

25 Jan - Couldn't make it to Church because of the sunburn from Patrol.
Seriously looked like Wang Fei without the white makeup.
Helped the main chef with dinner preparations.
Knocked out a few times... think I got abt 14 hours worth of sleep.
THANK YOU GOD!!! :D

26 Jan - Da Nian Chu Yi
Did something different from the norm.
Went to visit Grandma at Ling Kuang Home.
Headed off to Marine Parade.
Had to go home early.
Fainted in the house.
Unable to make it to Winnie's place.

27 Jan - Chu Er.
Visited 3rd Old Aunt.
Cold Storage shopping with TKM.
Cold Storage shopping with Dad.

28 Jan - Chu San.
Woke up early and hauled my bum to Changi Village for a morning walk...
The Sun, the Sand and the Sea.
-hums a nameless tune-
T'was a relaxing time under the coconut trees.
Bought Nasi Lemak home for the family.
Knocked out for about 2 hours before heading to Sir's house to bai bai nian.
Rushed home for dinner and then out again to Kovan for training.
God works in wonderful ways... Jamie gave me a lift to the Cc =]
We played games and then Bball... before heading to White Tangerine to talk/chat/rubbish around before heading home...
One by one sending the girls back... hahaha
Ran into Charlie at the bus stop... (its been more than 5 years I think...)

29 Jan - Chu Si
Finds me here whacking away at the keyboard.
Will be heading out for lunch and then to Jurong West after which I will be flying to Centre Point for dinner with WWS.
Yeap. Another day packed with activities... woohoo~~

3Ps - Poomsae, Pool & P(erm...something)

"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. For the body is not one member, but many."

~1 Corinthians 12:13-14~

Supplimentary grading was this morning!

Admin duty, as usual. Not as enthusiastic about grading as we used to be, but today was very different. Instead of one grading table, we had two!

The whole process took on a new dimension - had to consider the other station and the students who were slated to go to that table instead of the one in front of me. What a way to push me out of my comfort zone. I can't remember how long I've been in charge of that area lo~

-psychotic laughter-

Praise God, everything went ok in the end. =]

Less than 3 months and the whole process will repeat itself.

-more psychotic laughter-

After the grading, we took a right turn and plonked ourselves in White Tangerine for lunch.

Treat courtesy from Sir. =]

Tummies filled, we headed for the local pool house.

Whacking of balls was never so fun.

Gosh, my skills are next to crap, but its still a whole load of excitment to see my cue stick coliding with that white ball and then sending that elusive black 8 into the corner pocket.

Haha~

Can't wait for the next time we will be hanging out again.

It was a yet another good day~.

Thank You God!

Went for the poomsae course last evening at NTC with Alvin, Daryl, Hui Fen, Ding Qi, Victor, Charmaine, Jonathan, Glen, Dexter. Yes, almost the entire batch of kiddos was there to learn the new white and white-yellow patterns.

We start through the theoritical portion and got down to business... Me are needs to practise more in order to make sure that me will not forget the moves which were learnt.

Headed off to Toa payoh after the class for dinner.

ICHIBAN BOSHI!!!!

-does the dance of joy-

Need to make another trip to that place before the end of the month.

Redeeming of points!!!!

Japanese foodie hath returnth~!

Special guest of the day took take the trip to hang out with us.

Showed him around the place... me thinks it might have been an information overload for him. Hahaha~

Friday evening was spent with The Battle of Red Cliff.
Shiok movie... Can't wait for the box set to come out.
Realistic, as far as period movies go.
Friends are made and lost in the battles.
Families lose their children and no one would ever be able to really understand the real reasons for why armies do what they do.

No one is the wiser and no one is the real winner at the end of the day.

War is never justified.

Go see the movie if you have the chance.

It's worth the time and money.

David Archuleta - Crush

I hung up the phone tonight,

Something happened for the first time,

Deep inside it was a rush, what a rush,

Cause the possibility that

You would ever feel the same away about me,

It’s just too much, just too much

Why do I keep running from the truth,

All I ever think about is you

You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized,

And I just got to know

Do you ever think, when you’re all alone,

All that we can be, where this thing can go,

Am I crazy or falling in love,

Is it real or just another crush

Do you catch a breath, when I look at you,

Are you holding back, like the way I do,

Cause I’m tryin’, tryin’ to walk away

But I know this crush aint’ goin’ away, goin’ away

Has it ever cross your mind when we’re hangin’,

Spending time girl,

Are we just friends, is there more, is there more,

See it’s a chance we’ve gotta take,

Cause I believe that we can make this into

Something that will last,

Last forever, forever

Do you ever think,

when you’re all alone,

all that we can be,

where this thing can go,

Am I crazy or falling in love,

Is it real or just another crush

Do you catch a breath, when I look at you,

Are you holding back, like the way I do,

Cause I’m tryin’, tryin’ to walk away

But I know this crush aint’ goin’ away, goin’ away

Why do I keep running from the truth,

All I ever think about is you

You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized,

And I just got to know

Do you ever think,

when you’re all alone,

all that we can be, where this thing can go,

Am I crazy or falling in love,

Is it real or just another crush

Do you catch a breath, when I look at you,

Are you holding back, like the way I do,

Cause I’m tryin’, tryin’ to walk away

But I know this crush aint’ goin’ away, goin’ away

Listening to this song makes me feel like a crazy teenager all over again...
Haha...
which reminds me that I will soon be reaching the two cycle mark.
Tail of rat is no exception for the fact that I am going to be ... two-four.
Haha... the all out partying has yet to go into full swing.
Bring it on~!

Marilyn!!!
How you doing over at your new place?
Hope everything is falling nicely into place.
I will be waiting to see pictures!
Hehee~

7 more days to the big day...
Enjoy the two-three while it lasts...

9.48am

"...That through death (Jesus) destroyed him that had the power of death, that is, the devil." ~Hebrews 2:14b~

It's a Sunday!
The final day of my 4 day break.
Wow... when you have fun, the sun like to run.

AGM yesterday was quick, interesting and pull of pictures.
I have got me a new play ground.
The marina barrage is a great place to 'Emo', we came to that conclusion after walking around the compound and having our hair blown all over the place.
Gosh, wind speed can be a real killer, and so can hair.
Natural hair dryer...

Went shopping and had dinner with Marilyn.
Walk, walk, eat, walk... MRT... walk.... walk... take bus.
Hahaha...
Thank God for technology, can still keep in touch with Marilyn when she goes for her next teaching gig.
JIA YOU WOMAN!!!!
-waves pompoms all over the place-

Me shall be attending service with TKM today.
Contemplating taking the bus down to TPY for the class.
May I will, maybe I won't.
Just one more week to grading.
Can feel time slipping out of one's hands...

Whip em' kids into shape before 11 Jan 09.
Let's see how much magic I would be able to work up.

Hopefully, will be able to get enough sleep before waking up at 5am tomorrow morning.
-loses her mind-
He shall provide!

1/365 + 2/365 + 3/365

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction"
~Proverbs 1:7 ~

First of Jan was mostly spent out of the house and with colleagues.
We went to eat steamboat at Bugis side.
Eating from 2.30pm to 6.30pm is no mean feat.
Since I am not a chili person, I was rather content to go home without burning up my stomach lining. Hehe~
After all that eating, we decided to go for a long long long walk.
Got ourselves to Raffles City to do some Chinese New Year preparation.
I got me a new dress! =]
(and a pair of $10 shoes from Bugis street... before meeting up with the lot.)
We did indeed do a lot of walking.
From one department to another, to another and to another.
Up and down the escalators.
In and out of the changing rooms.
Directionally, it was a very holistic experience.
-chuckles-
Plenty of photos were taken, but not with my camera... so now I have to depend on my friend to pass me them pictures... haha

2 Jan was supposed to be spent playing pool, but I got a lot of aeroplanes and pigeons instead.
Yes, the best laid plans and intentions are usually never successful.
Ladida~
But, it still was a good day!
Went for lunch with TKM in Toa Payoh.
Sizzler lunch... gosh, me thinks the stomach has shrunk... I think I used to eat more...
-faints-
After which, we walked it off walking around the shops and looking for TKM's elusive ginger snack.
Bought food stuff and then headed for home.
Which found me falling asleep on the bus... hahaha...

Had a nap and pounded the computer before heading out once more to the library and to meet with the Ying-ster.
Gosh... I felt short.
Hahhaa...
White Tangerine was the venue.
Talking was the main item.
Bleah... can't believe its been so long since I've last seen her lor...
I realise I am super low on self-censorship when I am around her...
-hysterical laughter-
Food in tummy, legs took a walk... from Kovan to Serangoon, (and just in time) for the last train.
Wet hair kept me up till 2am before the head could make nice with the pillow.

This morning's sunshine never got to me... the blinds were brought down by one of the adults.
Yes, I feel the love =]

Will be going for the WWS AGM later.
To be held at the Marina Barrage!
WOOHOO~~~
I am soooo going to bring my camera along lor... plenty of photos to be taken...
Hopefully the weather will be conducive... hahah

Krystal!!!
How you feeling?
Medication doing its work well?

Yang Mui~
When you free?
We go out with Diana and Shi Min!

2 more days (including today) before we all head back to work.
Yeap... personal time I do cherish.
These are the days which the Lord has made!

First for 2009

"The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit." ~Psalm 34:17-18~

Blessed beginning to one and all for 2009!
Things can only get better!!!
-does the dance of joy-

The count down was spent in front of the computer screen last night.
Forget not the SMSes and the phone calls.
It's nice to know that there were others who did not go out as well.
Have no idea what the parties were like but I am sure that everyone had fun.

Today's the first day of the new year.
Wow... so many things to look forward to.
Birth Month hath begun!
CNY is just 3 weeks away!
Let the real PARTY begin!!!!
-loud hysterical laughter-

2008 was a good year.
Self discovery, learning, crying, laughing , loving and travelling.
Gosh, I never knew my Island Home till that year.
Took a big step in my life.
Working has taught me many things.
It has brought me closer to God.
I've made more than lost friends this year.
For all the tears and heartache, I look back and smile.
Everything God makes is perfect.
2009 shall be no different.
Although the outlook for certain green things looks grey, there is a silver lining for every dark cloud.
We will all make it though.
Of that I am very sure.
In the end, everything will be all right.
If its not all right, its not the end yet.
Woohooo~~~

We drink to new beginnings and a bright future yes?
Cheers!
^-^
